About the portal and participation

Information.

A few simple guidelines help us bring original art into homes while respecting artists and their work.

◎

Objective of TVArtMode

TVArtMode is an Android application for televisions that displays artworks and paintings, automatically adapting screen brightness to the room's lighting. Our aim is to bring the atmosphere and visual experience of an art display into people's homes, making the television feel more like a window to original art.

▤

Rules for artwork upload

  • Upload only original artworks that you created, or for which you are the copyright owner and are authorised to grant display permission.
  • You retain copyright and ownership of your artwork. Uploading does not transfer those rights to TVArtMode.
  • By uploading, you grant TVArtMode permission to display the artwork on participating television screens and related services, as described in the registration agreement.
  • Artwork files are stored and delivered in encrypted form. TV users are not permitted to copy, extract, redistribute or otherwise distribute the artwork.
  • Nude, sexually explicit, obscene, indecent, hateful, violent or otherwise inappropriate images are not permitted. TVArtMode may reject submissions that do not meet these standards.
  • Do not upload images that infringe another person's copyright, privacy or other rights.
▧

Image requirements

  • Accepted image resolutions: HD (1280 × 720), Full HD (1920 × 1080) or 4K (3840 × 2160).
  • Portrait 9:16 images are preferred because they can occupy the full television screen in portrait-oriented display installations.
  • Landscape and other aspect ratios are also accepted. Images are placed appropriately on the television, one artwork at a time; depending on the aspect ratio, some images may not fill the entire screen.
  • Maximum file size: 5 MB per image.
  • Accepted file formats for this portal version: JPEG and PNG.
